BOOKS

All books are part of the serial "Tommy- and Flisen detective stories" but all books constitute independent stories.

Murder in Sight! (Mord i blicken! 2010)

Here comes the seventh book in the popular series about Tommy and Chipper – true to life and easy-to-read mysteries with a loyal following.

Tommy has been allowed to come on vacation with Chipper to the island of Teneriffe. The comfortable existence of sunshine and swimming is abruptly interrupted when Tommy and Chipper witness a drug deal. They try to run away, but are discovered, and soon they are not safe anywhere. Someone is prepared to do anything to get them out of the way.

The books about Tommy and Chipper were originally written for reluctant readers 12+, but now have a large and continually growing readership fascinated by the author’s fantastic ability to tell us about the boys’ everyday life, both at home and at school, and at the same time, skillfully weave the threads of the mystery into exciting stories!

Dark Secrets! (Mörka hemligheter! 2009)

Now it’s time for the sixth book in the popular series about Tommy and Chipper!
Realistic and easy-to-read detective stories with a faithful fan club!

The books about Tommy and Chipper has been a big hit among young readers. Lena Lilleste has previously worked as a teacher, and started writing these detective stories in order to get everyone in the class reading, including the thirteen year old boys in the back of the classroom who refused to open a book. In the sixth book about Tommy and Chipper, there is a new sports teacher who starts working at the school. At first he seems nice enough, but soon Tommy and Chipper realize that there is something not quite right about him…

Press voices on previous titles:

”Lena Lilleste whets your appetite.” Jan Hansson, SvD

Lethal Millions!  (Livsfarliga miljoner! 2008)

Tommy and Splinter happen to meet Valter, 77 years old, who is made of money. He is a really nice guy and the best granddad in the world. But soon shady things start taking place round Valter. Money disappears and it turns out that Valter’s flat has been sold without his knowledge... but who are the people who are stealing from Valter?

• The fifth book in the popular series about Tommy and Splinter!
• Easy-to-read detective stories that are gripping, with lots of readers.

Death Threats! (Hotade till livet! 2007)

“Tommy would rather burst out of that repulsive club house and run as far away as possible, but instead he remains in place, petrified, torchlight lowered. He is fearful of what he might get to see. Slowly, he directs the torchlight beam at the body lying on the floor.”

If Flisen hadn’t been that stupid and hadn’t kissed that other girl instead of Mathilda, things wouldn’t have turned out this way. Tommy and Flisen simply had to steal away to the club house in the middle of night and delete those photos to stay out of trouble. But things only get worse when they instead happen to come across a dead body! And it gets worse! Tommy and Flisen call the police, but when the police arrive at the club house, the body is gone without a trace! What is going on here, exactly? Everything feels totally surreal. But this has actually taken place, and before long, they start receiving some really uncanny threatening letters …

Better Get the Money, Or Else ...! (Fixa pengar, annars…!2007)

“`Didn’t I make it perfectly clear that I can’t stand the mere sight of that sore-looking jacket? You don’t catch on that fast, do you?´ Tommy doesn’t dare reply. `OK, this is the deal: Let’s forget about the whole thing if you just give me that jacket,´ Joel says. `And you’re gonna pay me eight hundred on Tuesday at the latest, since Flisen called me a dumbass.´ The Knife approaches Flisen, blade drawn. `But we haven’t got any cash,´ Tommy replies in a stuttering voice. `OK, now it’s a thou,´ Joel answers back.

Tommy would rather drop dead than admitting so, but he has actually longed all summer to get back to school. There he will finally get to see Flisen and Emelie again. But once back, the atmosphere in school has turned tense and threatening. Joel, The Knife and their gang have started pressing people for money. Tommy and Flisen get threatened, too. Now it’s all about getting that money real quick, or else, they’re going to be in serious trouble …

Kidnappers on the Net! (Kidnappare på nätet! 2006)

Maybe Tommy and Flisen aren’t the most diligent pupils at school. In the second volume of the detective story serial, a school group assignment requires them to search the Internet for information, but instead they visit a chat room…

Before long Flisen comes into contact with Sara, a really cool girl who even seems interested in him. Everything on the Internet is not what it appears, though, and soon enough both Tommy and Flisen are on to something perilous…

School Break-In! (Inbrott i Skolan! 2005)

“Suddenly there’s the dull sound of an engine outside of the building; a sound that seems to be slowly coming closer before the engine is turned off. Doors are closed and shut. Whispers. Tommy keeps listening. He doesn’t dare call out to Flisen. He can hear approaching footsteps and the sound of somebody smashing a window. Tommy gets so scared that he thinks he’s going to die. `Who are they, and what are they doing here?´”

The fire alarm sounds and the school is rapidly emptied. Meanwhile, the money-box kept in the teacher’s desk in Tommy’s classroom is stolen. The following night, without any proper permission, Tommy and Flisen sneak into the school grounds in order to clear some matters. That’s when they hear somebody smash a window. Unknown men break into the school building and Tommy and Flisen witness the burglars and something that appears to be a homicide…At that stage things start getting uncanny, but that’s just the start…
